As statements and images of cleared cheques are now available online, we will stop mailing cleared cheques to customers and will no longer mail paper statements to customers who are active Butterfield Online users.
Butterfield Online users will notice a new "Statements" link on the left menu. Select an account and you will be able to view the statements of the account selected. You can download any of these PDF statements to view, print and/or save to your computer. You are able to see E-statements going back 15 months from the present.
Customers are now able to access images of cleared cheques on Butterfield Online. You can access cheque images either by clicking on the hyperlinked reference number in your account activity list, or by using the "Cheque Status Inquiry" link on the left menu. Cheque images are presented in PDF format and show an image of the front and back of the cheque. The images are also searchable by date or cheque number, and you can search for a single cheque or a range of cheques. Cheque images are generally available 3 business days after the cheque has cleared.
A Note to Corporate Customers
All corporate customers will be able to see E-Statements and cheque images by default. However, your corporate banking administrator can choose to restrict viewing privileges for cheque images and/or E-Statements if this is your preference.
