Gustav

Due to the approaching storm Gustav, Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited, in conjunction with other retail banks on the island, will be closed for business on Friday, 29th August and Saturday, 30th August. We anticipate that our offices will re-open at 9:00 a.m. EST on Monday, 1st September once the “All Clear” has been issued for Grand Cayman.
 
Butterfield Online:
 
Butterfield Online will be accessible for as long as weather conditions allow. Transactions submitted after 7 pm Thursday, 28th August will not be processed until Monday, anticipating our offices are open. The same applies to any wire or draft/cheque book requests submitted after the cut off time Thursday, 28th August 2008.
 
ATMs:
 
Bay Shore ATM at Bayshore Mall is currently closed until further notice.
 
Compass, Governors Square, Hurley’s Market Place, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and Butterfield House ATMs will remain open until 8 am Friday, 29th August.
 
Butterfield Place ATMs will remain open until 12 noon Friday 29th August.
 
Credit Card Payments:
 
Payments to Butterfield credit cards submitted by 4:30 pm today will be posted to credit card accounts and will be available on card accounts after 12:00 pm tonight.   Payments submitted after 4:30 pm today will regrettably not be posted until the bank re-opens for business.

*  For Butterfield Visa Debit Cards you may contact the Visa Assistance center (see above) to report lost or stolen debit cards. Lost or stolen cards should be reported promptly so as to protect your funds.  Consideration should also be given to reporting theft to the police.
 
*  Please  note down  your Debit & Credit card numbers, along with the emergency numbers above,  and keep these in safe place – not in your wallet – in case of need when reporting loss or theft.  Never write down your PIN number.
