Butterfield Employees Among Citywealth’s Most Highly Regarded Private Wealth Managers

The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited (“Butterfield Bank”) today announced that several Europe-based members of its senior staff have been named in Citywealth’s Leaders List 2008; an annual guide listing the most highly regarded figures in private wealth management. 

 

Katie Booth, Managing Director of Butterfield International Private Office Limited, was named one of the “Top 20 Women in Private Wealth Management” and included in the “Honours” list of Leading Trustees.  Ms. Booth, who joined Butterfield Bank in 2007 from Rothschild Trust in London, is a qualified trust lawyer in both England and The Bahamas.  She has extensive experience both onshore and offshore in the structuring and administration of assets for international private clients. Butterfield International Private Office Limited is a UK-based Butterfield Bank Group subsidiary that focuses on client acquisition for the Bank’s global network of trust businesses, with an emphasis on the provision of independent fiduciary and asset structuring services to international families.

 

Paul Hodgson, Managing Director of Butterfield Trust (Guernsey) Limited, was also named to the “Honours” list of Leading Trustees.  Mr. Hodgson has been with Butterfield Bank Group since 1998 when he moved to Guernsey having spent ten years with KPMG in Australia, London and Hong Kong.  He is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Securities Institute and has is highly experienced in the management of structures for international private clients.  Butterfield Trust (Guernsey) Limited offers the trust and company administration services of the Butterfield Group in Guernsey, with a focus on succession planning, tax mitigation and asset structuring for clients.

 

Jim Parker, Switzerland Country Head and Managing Director of Butterfield Trust (Switzerland) Limited and Phil Lenz, Switzerland Deputy Country Head, were named among the “Prominent Figures” in the Leading Trustees category in the Citywealth List.  Mr. Parker is a leading figure in the Swiss wealth management industry, having been Head of Wealth Structuring for Barclays Private Bank and Director, Wealth Advisory for Barclaytrust (Suisse) S.A.  He previously held senior positions in wealth management and trust services in Switzerland with both Citigroup and Chase Manhattan Private Bank.  Mr. Lenz, a mathematician by training, has held a number of positions in both corporate and private banking during the past 10 years.  Prior to joining Butterfield, Mr. Lenz was the Chief Administration Officer of the wealth structuring division at Barclays Wealth and directly involved in strategic planning, acquisitions and the administration of large and complex trust structures.  Butterfield Trust (Geneva) Limited provides fiduciary, trust and company administration services.

 

Graham Brooks, Executive Vice President, International for Butterfield Bank, congratulated Ms. Booth and Messrs.
