Night Deposit Facilities
We provide a 24-hour deposit facility at each of our Banking Centres.  Businesses can take advantage of this facility and make deposits at any time using our disposable night bags. Please contact your Banking Centre for more details.

Standing Orders
A standing order is a standing instruction given to the Bank to pay a named party a specific amount on a specific date on a regular basis e.g. weekly, monthly or yearly.  We provide this service for both local and overseas payments.

Safety Deposit Boxes
Safety deposit boxes are safekeeping lockers stored within a vault at the Bank.  These are available for rental by Butterfield account holders that have maintained an account with us for at least six months.

Collections

• Clean Cheque Collections: Clean Cheque Collection is the method used by the Bank to collect payment for foreign drawn cheque deposited that cannot be processed through normal channels or where the Bank wishes to obtain cleared funds before making payment to the payee or depositor.
• Documentary Collections: This is a method used by an exporter (seller) to help secure payment from an importer (purchaser) via the importer’s bank before the goods are released to the importer, in the importer’s country.

Utility Bill Payments
Utility bill payments such as those to Caribbean Utilities Company and Cable and Wireless can be made at our Customer Service counters, our ATMs or using our Butterfield Online Service.  Payments made via Butterfield Online are free of charge.

Money Transfers
These are electronic Money Transfers made on behalf the Bank’s customers to a stated beneficiary abroad and are used when payment to the beneficiary is required urgently.  We offer electronic Money Transfer payments (also known as wire transfers) in all major currencies and in most other currencies.

Bank Drafts
These are cheques issued by the Bank, drawn on international correspondent banks. Typically these are purchased by customers to make payments to parties abroad. We offer bank drafts in all major currencies and most other currencies.  They are a cheaper alternative to electronic money transfers.

Saturday Banking
We offer Saturday Banking at our Governors Square Banking Centre from 9 a.m. until 12 noon for all your banking and lending services.
