Conor O'Dea

Conor O'Dea - Senior Executive Vice President, Caribbean


Conor is a Chartered Accountant who has worked in the financial services industry in the Cayman Islands for over 20 years. He has been with Butterfield since 1989, joining the Board of Directors in 1994 and becoming the Managing Director in 1997. He is a past President of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce, President of the Cayman Islands Bankers Association, Chairman of the University College of the Cayman Islands and Vice-Chairman of Island Heritage Holdings Limited. Since Hurricane Ivan in September 2004, Conor has acted as a Trustee and Vice Chairman of the Cayman Islands National Recovery Fund.

Mike McWatt – Deputy Managing Director, Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited

 

Michael has worked in the financial services industry in Canada, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands for over 18 years.  He joined Butterfield in 1999 as Head of Credit & Card Services in Cayman.  Prior to joining Butterfield, Michael held various senior management positions in corporate banking and risk management in Canada.  He was Chief Credit Officer for the Butterfield Group in Bermuda for seven years prior to rejoining Butterfield in Cayman as Deputy Managing Director and a member of Cayman’s Board of Directors in 2007.  Michael was actively involved in various community and educational organisations in Bermuda.  He holds an Honours Bachelors Degree in Business and Economics.

Barry Yetton - Head of Business Support Services, Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited


Barry has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers. He has been with Butterfield since 1990, joining the Board of Directors in 1999. Barry has also worked with various local bodies, sat on the education sub committee for the Bankers Association and been involved with Junior Achievement.

Lloyd Wiggan – Managing Director Butterfield Bank (Barbados) Limited

 

Lloyd has responsibility for retail banking services at Butterfield Bank in Bermuda. He was promoted to his current position in February 2002 after joining the Bank in September 2001, and he joined Cayman’s Board of Directors in 2006. Prior to joining Butterfield Bank, he worked at Citibank for 23 years, rising to the position of Vice President and Senior Country Operations Officer in Jamaica.

Sheree Ebanks - Head of Wealth Management, Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited


Sheree has worked in the financial services industry in the Cayman Islands for over 30 years. She joined Butterfield in 1980 and the Board of Directors in 1999. She is a Director of the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange, has worked closely with the Secretariat on the IMF Review and is currently a member of the Financial Services Council.

Sophia Harris - Managing Partner, Solomon Harris

Sophia-Ann Harris joined Butterfield Cayman’s Board of Directors in 2002.  Mrs. Harris is the Managing Partner and founder of Solomon Harris, a leading independent law firm in the Cayman Islands.  She has served as Chairman of the Immigration Department’s Business Staffing Plan Board of the Cayman Islands, and is also a past President of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman, serving as the first female president in the Cayman Islands. Mrs. Harris is a past Assistant Governor for the Rotary Clubs within the Cayman Islands and is a past President of the Chamber of Commerce.

James E. O’Neill – Managing Director, Frapag Finance Ltd.

Jim joined Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited’s Board of Directors in May 2008. He has an MBA in International Banking and has been working in the international commercial banking industry for over 34 years. He is chairman of Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited’s Audit, Compliance and Risk Policy Committee, is a councilor (former secretary) for the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce and has been a trustee of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Pension since 2002. He was secretary and treasurer of the Cayman Islands Bankers Association, is an active member of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman and is a Director of the Cayman Islands “Meals on Wheels” programme. Jim is also CEO and treasurer of the Central Caribbean Marine Institute.
