Investing in Cayman’s Future
Supporting the development and aspirations of young people is important to us. We regularly contribute
to a number of educational and motivational awards that provide a platform for youngsters to excel as
individuals and as team players, including the Young Caymanian Leadership Awards Programme (YCLA),
which is designed to inspire, motivate and empower young people to achieve their best. We offer an
annual undergraduate scholarship programme for academic study and support Junior Achievement with
staff mentoring young entrepreneurs in our training facilities. As the largest employer in the financial
sector in Cayman, we also offer diverse opportunities for personal and career developments.
Celebrating Arts & Culture
We are a key supporter of arts within our society, strongly believing it enriches and encourages collective development. We are proud to sponsor the biannual Cayman Arts Festival, which enables local
performers to participate alongside international artists in a range of concerts. Our dedication to the
George Hicks High School contributes to the purchase of musical instruments for their concert bands.
Encouraging an Active Lifestyle
We are an avid supporter of the Island’s sports and fitness programmes that benefit the overall health of
our community and raise awareness of health issues. We take pride in funding various events such as
little league, squash, rugby and charity walks, including the annual Butterfield St. Patrick's Day 5K Irish
Jog in March and the annual Butterfield 800m Sea Swim in May.
Caring for the Environment & Our People
We take pride in our community and understand the importance of managing our environmental
footprint. Together, by lending our helping hands to charitable work and supporting causes that benefit
the overall good of the place we call home, Butterfield is making a positive difference in Cayman.
