Before Travelling Overseas

To help prevent blocked transactions on your Butterfield card, please remember to notify Butterfield Card Services of all travels dates and destinations. This can be done via Online Banking or by contacting 815-7575. Due to security and fraud concerns, Butterfield has blocked debit and credit card usage in certain countries. These countries currently include Estonia, India, Israel, Iran, Kazakhstan, North and South Korea, Lebanon, Libya,  Malaysia, Russia, Rep. of Serbia, United Arab Emirates, Thailand and Turkey. This list is subject to change as additional cases of fraud are reported. Please contact Butterfield Card Services on (345) 9497055 during office hours or (345) 815 7527 after hours for assistance.

 

 

Clearance Period for USD and CAD Cheques

Effective 1 September 2011, please note that the clearance period for funds from deposited United States and Canadian dollar cheques will change from 10 business days to 15 business days. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
